Mr Mutua said that those attacking the American preacher were wrong, saying that they did not have the slightest idea who he was.

He said that Soar Africa which had organised Mr Jakes trip had nothing to do with prosperity gospel.

"Those who are attacking Bishop TD Jakes over the 75k charges for the Soar Africa engagement have no clue who the guy is, the liberating spiritual authority he carries, nor the dynamics of networking with such global entrepreneurs.

"Soar Africa has absolutely nothing to do with what the dimwits are calling prosperity gospel, " Ezekiel Mutua's post read in part.

Had he been around, the KFCB boss said, he would have attended the event which was set to be addressed by TD Jakes.

Mutua went on to add that he was himself the product of the renowned preacher's messages which he described as inspirational.

"I feel bad that I have to miss the sessions myself because I am on official duties abroad so let me offer my personal testimony here about my encounter with Bishop Jakes and how he has impacted my life.

"There's something spectacularly liberating about anointing, destiny shapers and define connections. Bishop TD Jakes carries such enormous grace that although I have met him only once in life, I am a product of his anointing and inspirational messages, " his post continued.

Mutua's post came amid blistering criticism directed at TD Jakes with critics taking issue with the amount of money that those who intend to attend his event will have to part with.
