You will be surprised about the sudden change in tune, where a few moments ago, being in a relationship was the most frowned up thing. You’d be wondering where you’d get a significant other in a short span.

Here are ways to cope with the people pushing you to get married;

1. Tell them in advance

Even if you are as single and lonely as a wood, find a way of telling your relatives that you actually have plans about what they are thinking and that you shall get back to them as soon as possible. They will be satisfied and will then avoid telling you that it is your time to get hitched.

2. Agree with them

When they approach you with statements alluding at their discomfort of your being free, agree that you need to get hitched as soon as possible. Tell them you are going through your phone book right away to make up with that ex of yours, because that may the only hope. Be as enthusiastic as they are.

3. Tell them everything is ready

Your relatives do not understand how energy-sapping their pestering is. You may literally have no plans at all, but they’ll hit you with their own interpretation of how to live your life.

It would be utterly rude to tell them off. Employ some PR statistics by telling them that everything is ready. Be creative by asking them why they’ve not heard about ‘it.’
