Celebrated stand up comedian, Eunice Mammito on Thursday revealed how she was denied a job because she came from Kibera slums.
Taking to her Instagram account, the Churchill Show comedian highlighted how hard it was for her to secure a job because she was a threat.
"Born and raised in Kibera, never got employment because saying you come from Kibera is a threat, (ooooh we can't give her a job, ghetto people aga sijui ghetto mentally). I went for a job interview to be a sells (sic) lady and I was rejected because of my rugged hair style (sic)," she said.
However, this did not break her heart as she decided to do something else.
She ventured into acting, which actually paid her well. Mammito, who is now earning a living from comedy and producing funny video clips.
"That's why I started doing poems and acting in Kibera, (pillar of Kibera), never knew I was gonna be a stand up comedian, I just went for an audition and told them am (sic) a stand up comedian and then I fell in love with the art of stand up comedy and here I am still pushing through the ups and downs," added.
Apart from doing stand up comedy, and producing short funny video clips, Mammito also does parody versions of hit songs.
