Always ask yourself before having a certain drug, what are the adverse effects of it? How will it react in my body?
Some medications especially those which you prescribe for yourself can be perilous. Some can contribute to cancer, cardiovascular diseases and even kidney glitches. A number of drugs have been linked to heart failure.
According to James Beckerman, MD, FACC, a cardiologist with the Providence Heart and Vascular Institute at St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland here are drugs that contribute to heart failure.
1. Over the counter drugs
Examples include NSAIDs and ibuprofen which can wreak havoc to your body. Generally, they are good at alleviating minor conditions such as headache among others, however, they can undoubtedly elevate the risks of heart failure. They also aggravate the condition. You better avoid the drug at all cost. Talk to your medic before using it.
2. Blood pressure medicines
They are prescribed to people with high blood pressure. Albeit they are useful, using them more often can be just risky. Don't overuse them because you will be endangering your body and make you susceptible to heart failure.
3. Diabetes medications
They also pose more risks than you can imagine. They aggravate the condition by causing fluid retention and weight gain in people with high blood pressure.
Furthermore, they can also cause the malady in people who lack it. The best thing is to talk to your doctor when you need to have the drug. He or she will advise you accordingly.
