On Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta relieved Treasury CS Henry Rotich off his duties, becoming the second minister to lose his job after Rashid Echesa within this year.

But the Siaya senator believes that the president has to do more, if at all he's keen to stand his authority for future remembrance by Kenyans.

At KTN's Point Blank on Wednesday, Orengo said Uhuru risks leaving behind a negative legacy should get fail to take charge of his cabinet.

“In writing history, they will talk about Uhuru Kenyatta’s tenure. Ruto will not feature,” said Orengo.

The former Ugenya MP accused DP William Ruto of being among the greatest saboteurs of Uhuru's government, arguing that he's serving his 2022 interests.

Mr Orengo, a close ally of opposition leader Raila Odinga, claimed that the government is dysfunctional, adding that unless Uhuru sacks rogue officers, his legacy will be tainted.

“The DP has made his ambitions of 2022 presidency clear, which is making it hard for him to serve the President,” argued Orengo.

“The Government has become dysfunctional. It is at cross-purposes,” Orengo stated while faulting agencies for not working together to enable Uhuru actualise his pledges to Kenyans.

His hard tackling observation comes at the time Mr Odinga is busy working closely with Uhuru. On Thursday, Odinga accompanied Uhuru to Ruiru where they jointly commissioned an Industrial Park.
