Scores more sustained serious injuries.

Officials who confirmed the strike say it happened in the central province of Marib on Saturday.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the deadly attack but the Yemeni government has blamed the Houthi rebels.

Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi reacted to the attack by expressing his condemnation and saying that it was yet another proof that the rebels were not interested in peace.

"The attack confirms without a doubt that the Houthis have no desire for peace”, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi said as quoted by the Reuters news agency.

“The disgraceful actions of the Houthi militia without a doubt confirm its unwillingness to (achieve) peace because it knows nothing but death and destruction and is a cheap Iranian tool in the region,” the head of state added as quoted by the Guardian newspaper.

Scores of civilians have lost their lives since 2015 when Saudi Arabia intervened in the country to back the Yemeni government against the insurgency of the Houthi rebels.
