A day after hosting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s sister Madam Kristina Pratt Kenyatta at his Capitol Hill Offices in Nairobi, ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga met the daughter of retired President Daniel Arap Moi, Doris Elizabeth Chepkorir Moi.
The Former Prime Minister discussed a wide range of issues with Ms. Moi during the meeting. The two discussed climate change among other matters.
The details of their meeting, however, remain scanty. The meeting is considered part of the blossoming relationship between Moi’s family and that of Jaramogi Odinga Odinga
“H.E @RailaOdinga received Ms. Doris Elizabeth Chepkorir Moi, daughter to former President Daniel arap Moi and her family at Capitol Hill Sq. Discussions focused on Climate Change, which the G7 nations are calling on governments to raise their ambitions on and national cohesion,” read a statement from NASA.
On Wednesday, Raila took to social media to reveal that he was excited to meet Uhuru’s sister. Ms. Pratt was among the key figures in the Jubilee’s win in 2017.
It remains unclear what Uhuru and Raila are planning before 2022.
There are speculations that the two could form an alliance before that time if words of Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru are anything to go by. Waiguru said the Mt Kenya region is ready to stand with Raila.
