Nakuru county in collaboration with other agencies have manged to close down 29 bar outlets across the county in the multi-agency operation launched recently to combat the spiraling wave of illicit brews in the region.
Speaking in his office, Nakuru county commissioner Joshua Nkanatha said they will continue to partner with other teams to end illegal drinks.
"This progress has been made fruitful by the proper coordination of the teams on the ground," he said.
He called upon the clergy to also join the fight and help in collectively addressing the concerns of illicit brews and the use of drug abuse by young people.
