According to Mwangi, the president had followed in the footsteps of his late father Jomo Kenyatta and the retired President Daniel Moi by misruling the country.

In a message on his official Facebook page, the former Starehe constituency parliamentary hopeful cautioned the commander-in-chief against governing the country the way his deceased father did.

"Your dad did horrible things in this country; killing his comrades, betraying the freedom fighters, and getting involved in poaching," Mwangi said in part of his Facebook post.

Furthermore, he told the president of how his father's successor Daniel Moi was no better because he presided over grand theft and corruption, tribalism, tyrannical rule and murder of critics for 24 years.

The Ukweli party leader also referred to Uhuru as a 'spoilt prince' who does not comprehend 'budgeting' and 'self-control' hence, ending up misusing taxpayers money.

Further, he hit out on the president for failing to understand the problems facing the country and wasting public funds through inflation of costs of projects like SGR and school laptops.
