Jubilee nominated MP Maina Kamanda has intensified his onslaught against Deputy President William Ruto, accusing him of plotting to distabilise Nairobi.
The two have been at loggerheads, with Kamanda leading Kieleweke team which purports to rally for President Uhuru Kenyatta's Big 4 agenda.
At Kibra on Saturday, Kamanda accused Dr Ruto of grabbing land from the dead, arguing that his deeds will not go unpunished in future.
The former Starehe MP asked Kibra residents to 'eat' Ruto's money at Karen meetings but ensure they vote for ODM candidate Imran Okoth in November by-election.
"We cannot allow him to distabilise Nairobi. I never used to collect rent in my Mathare apartments but now I can. The people of Kibra are not fools to allow Ruto impose Mariga on them," he said.
"He has converted his Karen home to an hotel, ensure you take the money he gives. Ask him to give even Sh5,000. He has stolen a lot even from the dead people. You read newspapers on how he's taking old people's land," he said.
Mr Kamanda was referring to the land of former Vice President Joseph Murumbi whose land has seen Dr Ruto dragged into a court case opposing acquisition.
In a tweet recently, Dr Ruto dismissed the story in one of the local dailies as fake, even though he did not give his side of the story on the controversial acquisition of the land.
"The now persistent, obviously sponsored FAKE NEWS by hired bankrupt media that finds it difficult to make a sale without the name Ruto. Bure kabisa. Riswa!" The DP tweeted.
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi on Monday accused Mr Kamanda of targeting the DP unfairly, adding that he's free to go to Karen and demand any 'debt' he's owed.
Dr Ruto supports new comer McDonald Mariga in the Kibra by-election, but a section of Jubilee leaders are backing the ODM candidate Imran Okoth.
