In an interview with NTV Am Live on Tuesday, Otiende said that Maraga is right to lament when things are not going right.

He said that he agrees that the Judiciary is under siege, adding that something must be done with immediate effect.

He noted that the other arms of the government need to support the Judiciary in the war against different illegalities.

"There is nothing wrong with the CJ sharing his frustrations with the public. The Judicial Service Commission is under siege," he said.

He also said that he is aware of the misuse of funds at different stages in the Judiciary. He, however, said that those behind corruption in Judiciary are facing charges and they will soon suffer the consequences.

"There have been instances of misuse of funds at the Judiciary but those who are involved are facing prosecution for that," he said.

Maraga in his presser decried the independence of the Judiciary is under siege. He claimed that the other arms of the government have resolved to frustrate him and the rest of the team.

"None of the three arms of the government should control or direct how any other arm should exercise the power that the people of Kenya have delegated to that state organ," Maraga said.
