The DP on Monday claimed that his life is in danger, thanks to a plot being hatched by a group of top state officials, who have allegedly been holding meetings with the intention.

But the trio of Migori Senator Ochilo Ayacko, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed and his Tiaty counterpart William Kamket on Saturday dismissed Ruto's fears.

They doubted Ruto's concerns, claiming that he is simply taking Kenyans for a ride for political reasons, observing that his big security detail is proof enough that he is just playing games.

Ayacko said that the DP is tying to shift the nation's attention from the war on corruption, and now wants him to apologize to Kenyans for misleading them.

“The main aim is to divert the attention in the fight against graft," the first-term Senator was quoted by the Standard, while Kamket told the DP to stop playing around with their minds.

The leaders spoke during the burial of former MP Oduya Oprong' in Amagoro, also attended by Raila, Moi and Ford Kenya party leader and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.
