The Tuesday, morning meeting at a Nairobi Hotel, was aimed at deliberating on the December 2019 canceled election by Sports Dispute Tribunal (SDT) among other electoral matters.

The 80 Delegates that attended the sitting adopted new Electoral Board members and the amended Electoral Codes that will be used in the election.

“The members have unanimously adopted the elections code but Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards abstained in the matter of adoption of the elections board,” FKF president Nick Mwendwa was quoted by the Star.

Meanwhile, Kentice Tikolo, Patrick Mathew Onyango, Ali Hassan Kauleni, Alfred Ndinya, and Samuel Karanja were voted as Board Members.

The amended Electoral Code, which will be in force for the upcoming elections was also adopted by the delegates.

It remains to be seen whether the repeat election will go on as planned by the federation. Even as there have been continued uneasy among the critics over the calling of the SGM and legality of the delegates that gave a nod to the newly created Electoral Board.

Albeit, FKF has remained adamant noting that all set for election and that it had done everything stipulated by the SDT, more so involvement of public participation.

"We want to make sure we are all on the same page when it comes to election matters and the management of football in the country. We have planned for fresh elections as ordered and we will be updating Fifa on the same," Mwendwa said.
