Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris has weighed in on the shooting at B Club in Nairobi, that left a DJ with a gunshot wound.
Writing on Twitter on Friday night, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) legislator said that her thoughts were with the DJ Evolve, identified as Felix Orinda.
She expressed hope that the surgery that Orinda is undergoing would be successful and he would pull through the ordeal.
Her tweet was accompanied by a hashtag in support of justice for the victim of the shooting.
"My thoughts tonight are with Felix Orinda, also known as DJ Evolve, and his family. I pray the surgery is successful and that he makes a full recovery #JusticeForDJEvolve," the legislator wrote.
Embakasi East member of Parliament Babu Owino is being held in police custody in connection with the shooting.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), in an update, said that it intended to press attempted murder charges against the firebrand legislator.
Investigators and crime scene experts are piecing together evidence as they prepare to arraign Babu Owino in a court of law to answer to the charges leveled against him.
Cliff Ombeta, a renowned criminal lawyer, said on Friday that his client had fired the weapon because he was apprehensive about his life.
