Speaking on Wednesday in the latest hearing of divorce proceedings pitting the two, Kitany claimed that she discovered that her husband had taken title deeds that did not belong to him.

She said that she made the discovery when the former Igembe South MP was on a trip to the United States.

When Linturi returned to the country, his wife confronted him with the discovery, he would hear none of it, forcing him to run away to Meru where he stayed for days on end.

"Soon after that he left for a trip to the US and while he was away on that trip that is when I made new discoveries that Mithika Linturi had taken titles that did not belong to him and went and charged them in his company to gain monies. When he came back, we talked about it when he was away, we had a discussion and he did not want us to engage in this discussion so what he did is he went, he ran away to Meru,"Kitany said.

According to the former Deputy President Dr William Ruto's chief of staff, the titles that the Meru Senator took belonged to her relatives.

The new revelations attracted massive publicity with the divorce proceedings trending on social media platforms.
