An elected Member of Parliament in Nyamira County allied to the opposition, NASA has said he is not mad walking with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.

Borabu MP Ben Momanyi while addressing of Bomachoge Borabu constituency in Kisii county said he realized Matiang'i could easily make it to State House in 2022.

"I was elected for the second term and I know what leadership entails. When Matiang'i came I did not take him seriously until he performed at the education docket and not the interior docket. I have chosen to walk with him in this political journey because I know he is capable of becoming a president in 2022 and people think I'm a mad man," said Momanyi.

The Wiper Party allied lawmaker insisted that Matiang'i has the potential to be the next president and urged Nyamira and Kisii leaders to stand firm with Matiang'i.

"Soon 'State House' will be built in Borabu where you will be becoming to see your president (Matiang'i). It is high time you start associating well with your president before 2022," he added. 

Momanyi warned a section of leaders who have opted to insult Matiang'i adding that the Cs is a performer and development-oriented.
