In a statement on Sunday, ODM also thanked the Kibra fraternity for once again entrusting it with the seat through Imran Okoth, whontskes over from his brother the late Ken Okoth.

The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led side lauded Kibra residents for rejecting manipulation and trickery from Ruto's team, claiming that the DP resorted to using bribes and goons.

It says that the same was the case in Ganda Ward in Kilifi, where the party also won through Reuben Katana, again lauding voters for voting wisely and rejected Ruto.

"In these by-elections, Kenyans read Ruto correctly and chose unity and peaceful coexistence over fear and division. In the end, Ruto got caught in the trap he thought he was laying for others. He is currently struggling to get out of the trap," it reads in part.

The statement, signed by Director of Campaigns Junet Mohammed and Nairobi County Chair George Aladwa, states that the pattern in which Kenyans voted enhances unity in the country.

But the party says that this was not yjw desire of the DP, who thrives in division, and who has bow been rendered unwanted and bitter.

"These efforts, which are clear victories for a united country have left Ruto a bitter, isolated and frustrated man. We owe him no apology. We have no sympathy for him. Instead, Ruto owes the people of Ganda and Kibra apologies," it further reads.
