The speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has reacted to reports of the passing of retired Justice Daniel Aganyanya.
Writing on Twitter on Saturday, the speaker expressed his condolences to the wife of the late judge, Lady Justice Roselyn Nambuye.
Paying tribute to the late judge, Muturi said that Justice Aganyanya was a man of dedication and integrity.
The speaker made a prayer that Roselyn Nambuye would find comfort in her difficult period.
''My heartfelt condolences to Lady Justice Roselyn Nambuye & family, following the loss of her husband, Retired Justice Daniel Aganyanya. He will be remembered for his utmost dedication & integrity during his 38-year career at the Judiciary. May the everlasting love of God comfort you,'' the speaker said.
Media reports indicate that the late judge breathed his last at the Agha Khan hospital in Kisumu County where he had been rushed for treatment.
According to her daughter, he died after developing breathing problems.
His book 'The Judicial Purge 2003 – That Never Was', a product of 38 years of experience in the judiciary, laid out in shocking detail the corruption that the judiciary was mired in.
