Barely a day after a section of ODM MPs from Western Kenya accused their unnamed counterparts of frustrating party Secretary General Ababu Namwamba; a Kisii MCA is now shifting the blame to party National chairman John Mbadi.

Mr Namwamba, a vocal Budalangi MP has been missing from key events organised by the party among them the demonstrations against IEBC and recently he claimed of being frustrated by people he termed as merchants of impunity.

But on Wednesday Kisii Majority Whip Henry Moracha accused the party National Chairman John Mbadi of frustrating Namwamba’s efforts to reform the party since he is an ‘outsider’ and challenged former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to intervene.

“I have been following developments in my party and I think time has come for us to unearth the truth. Mr Mbadi is the cause of all these because he sidelines the SG in key matters concerning the party simply because Namwamba is an outsider,” claimed Moracha, a close confidant of Namwamba.

“This kind of wars directed to Namwamba should be handled urgently by party Leader Raila Odinga before they escalate. Most of Namwamba’s enemies are unhappy after he managed to scoop the superior Secretary General position,” added Moracha.

However, Party National Treasurer Timothy Bosire dismissed the claims as mere propaganda and urged ODM members to remain united ahead of 2017 polls.

“I honestly don’t think Namwamba deserves to blame anyone. He is our Secretary hence he should stamp his authority and work with the chairman. If someone is not willing to perform his duty, then those willing will chip in and do the job,” said Bosire after Mr Mbadi’s calls and texts went unanswered.
