Gospel musician Bahati spent Sh800,000 on the baby shower they held a few days before welcoming their newborn son Majesty Bahati last week on Wednesday.
But before settling on the budget of Sh800,000 for the private baby shower which summed up as the gender reveal party, Bahati's wife Diana Marua had apparently asked him for Sh1.1 million.
Bahati was however shocked at the amount of money that his wife had calculated for the baby shower event. Although Diana tried to argue that she had tried her best to cut down on the expenses, Bahati was still not convinced citing that the amount was too high yet the baby shower will not have any effect on the baby's physical appearance.
He nonetheless offered her Sh800,000 and asked her to work with it.
"Is it a land that we are buying? At our village that is enough for two acres. Right now that is not possible. Will the baby shower make the baby look more beautiful or handsome? I will give you Sh800,000 just work with that. (Kwani ni shamba unanunua. Hii ushago kwetu ni acre mbili. Sahii mahali iko hio haiwezekani….Baby shower inasaidia mtoto kutoka akiwa msupuu ama mhandsome? Fanya hivi I’ll get 800K just work with that,)” Bahati stated as quoted by Pulselive.
