Nairobi South Primary in Starehe has vowed to take action after the school registered a low mean grade in the 2019 KCPE.
The school disputed the results and now wants the school's examination papers remarked.
According to the school's management, one of their students scored a total of 70 marks, which has greatly affected their mean grade.
Disputing the results of the student who scored 70 marks, the school indicated that the student had been performing well in the past exams.
In the last three exams leading up to KCPE, the student had scored a total of 290, 338 and 306 marks.
“The results (KCPE) is showing he scored 14 marks in English, 14 in Kiswahili, 28 in Mathematics, 12 marks in Science and 02 marks in Social Studies,” the school said.
This is not the first time a school has disputed a candidate's score. Last year, another school petitioned the score of one of their pupils, who had been doing well but failed terribly in KCPE.
This year's KCPE exams were marked in a very short time, and the results released within weeks after the exam.
