Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has dismissed claims that the county’s outreach program ‘Gavana Mtaani’ is meant to achieve political mileage.
Speaking in Rongai sub-county on Thursday, Kinuthia said the program is a well-thought idea which will go on.
“This initiative is not a political tool as many detractors would like to misrepresent, this is a concept that will go beyond the county government’s mandate, and that is to serve its people,” Kinuthia said.
Kinuthia said there are people spreading propaganda over the issue.
“It’s unfortunate that a few individuals would be propagating lies and criticising the county governments well thought out efforts to serve its people adding that this is a waste of resources,” he added.
