The head of state is expected to woo potential investors from the UK as he seeks to achieve the Big Four agenda before the completion of his second term in office.

Uhuru was accompanied by different government officials including Central Bank of Kenya Governor Patrick Njoroge, National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani and Housing Principal Secretary Charles Hinga.

Others are Centum CEO James Mworia and Group CEO James Mwangi.

Kenyan High Commissioner to the UK Ambassador Manoah Esipisu on Saturday said that the summit in the UK will offer the head of state an ideal opportunity to interact with different stakeholders from the UK.

Esipisu said that the Kenyan government is committed to transforming the lives of Kenyans through the Big Four agenda.

“As you know, Kenya has always trumpeted trade and investment, and we do expect that these are the areas that they will focus on for the prosperity of the people of Kenya as well as the prosperity of the people of the United Kingdom,” Esipisu said.

The event organisers have said that the UK has plans to increase its investments in Africa. The meeting comes at a time when President Kenyatta has reiterated that he remains focused on implementing the Big Four agenda.
