President Uhuru Kenyatta is committed to fighting graft before leaving office in 2022, State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena has said.
Speaking on Wednesday during an interview with Citizen Radio, Dena said the president is not ready to leave any stone un-turned, in the fight against the vice.
"The President is not relenting on the war against corruption. He has been clear from the start that it is only through fighting corruption that sustainable development can be achieved in the country for the benefit of all Kenyans," she said.
The remarks come at a time when Governors; Mike Sonko (Nairobi), Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu), and Moses Kasaine of Samburu have been blocked from accessing office over graft.
The president has previously said everyone accused of engaging in corruption, should carry his or her own cross.
During the same interview, Dena said President Kenyatta has put in place measures to spur economic growth in the country, adding that peacefl coexistence, is a key recipe for economic growth.
"We all have a part to play in creating a better country for ourselves and for future generations. Irrespective of our positions in society, let us shun divisive politics and unite in building our nation. As our National Anthem states, 'Kenya yastahili heshima," she said.
