Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party candidate for the Kibra parliamentary by elections Imran Okoth has received a boost after a section of Jubilee Party and KANU party endorsed him for the seat.

In a message on his Facebook account on Friday, ODM Communications Director Philip Etale revealed that the leaders held a meeting to drum support for Imran. 

''This afternoon, Jubilee and KANU legislators endorsed the candidature of Bernard Otieno Okoth who is the ODM candidate for the Kibra Parliamentary seat in the by-election scheduled for Thursday November 7 this year,'' wrote Philip Etale. 

The leaders met at the Lindi Mosque in Kibra where they argued residents to elect Imran as their next MP. 

Some of the leaders who vowed to support Imran Okoth's candidature are; Fatuma Gedi (Wajir Woman Rep), Senator Abshiro Halake (KANU) and Beatrice Elachi (Speaker Nairobi County Assembly) among others. 

The race for the Kibra parliamentary seat has attracted a lot of attention all over the nation. 

ODM's Imran Okoth, Jubilee Party's Macdonald Mariga and Amani National Congress (ANC) Party's Eliud Owalo have been considered the top candidates in this race. 

The Kibra seat which fell vacant after the death of MP Ken Okoth will be contested on 7 November, 2019.
