Kwa Nyama- a nyama choma joint along the busy Thika Superhighway, has distinguished itself as a must stop-over for meat lovers.
Located a few metres from Kenyatta Road's entry to the Superhighway near Juja Town, the joint is a home to many Kenyans' favourite food. The place is amazingly rising in popularity.
Kwa Nyama bus stage has been established. Upon arrival, one is welcomed by competing waiters selling various meat stalls offering free parking space to their esteemed visitor.
Next to welcome a visitor is a delicious aroma that makes one's mouth water. A butcher offers you a slice of steaming pieces of meat for you to sample!
"....customer karibu nyama ya kuonja." It's irresistible.
Friends, families and other social gatherings enjoy sumptuous beef, mutton or pork generously served on wooden boards. Ugali, kachumbari and other side dishes are also available.
"I must stop over here whenever am commuting to Nairobi," said Mbogo Maore a Meru businessman.
The place is ever busy irrespective whether a weekday or weekend.
"We have customers who come for lunch here on daily basis and bring over their families over the weekend," said James Munene a manager of one of the meat stalls.
"Kwa Nyama joint is in the same league as Kikopey," Patrick Nderitu compared the joint with a famous nyama choma joint along Nakuru-Naivasha highway.
