On Tuesday, the group said it regrets releasing such a song after the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua banned it and asked the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to arrest and charge members of the music group for the song's inappropriate content.

The singers have promised not to release another song that will go against set rules.

“As Ethic Entertainment, we are truly remorseful for any dolor caused by the lyrics to our single, and for every single person that was triggered to a displeasing memory or emotion by it, receive our sincere apologies. Rest assured that no disrespect was intended,” read part of Ethic's tweet quoted by Standard.

The song 'Tarimbo' has continued to receive massive criticisms from different quarters after it was considered to promote violence against women.

While declaring a ban on the song, the moral cop said that the music group has lost touch with reality.

He faulted them for using underhand tactics in their career to win masses pointing out that he will not tolerate such kind of music.

Mutua further said that he had written to Google to pull down the song.

The Ethic music is one of the fastest rising in the entertainment sector.
