The implementation of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report will not cure the lack of development and dwindling agricultural sectors in the country but make Kenya governable, former Naivasha Member of Parliament John Mututho has said.
Mututho says there has been a misunderstanding by leaders from both political divides on the execution of the report saying that people ought to read and appreciate that the same is meant to unite Kenyans for a common goal.
Addressing media at his Jomec Rehab centre, the 2017 Nakuru gubernatorial aspirant observed that for the president to work effectively and serve the citizenry, leaders from all political divide need to be brought on board for the realization of the same.
“There has been a misunderstanding by leaders from both political divide on the execution of the report and am saying this when am sober because I don’t drink,” he said.
He noted that despite President Uhuru Kenyatta getting more votes during the elections, a sizable number have been left out.
Once the report is implemented, Mututho wants the president to exercise his powers fully and ensure all delegated powers he has donated to the cabinet secretaries are seriously adhered to noting that he ought to fire and hire whenever one sleeps at their job.
Mututho noted that Cabinet Secretaries and selfish leaders are to blame for the current situation in the country adding that more competent and qualified persons have to be hired to cure the same and allow Kenyans to benefit.
He, however, wants ODM leader Raila Odinga to tame leaders from his party and allow for swift implementation of the report to allow the government to function properly for a serious development for its people.
