Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu is a wanted man after he skipped a court session where the hearing of an assault case against him was to be conducted.

The legislator had also skipped a session last week, and his legal team was not in court either.

The arrest warrant was issued by Kibera principal magistrate Bernard Ochoi after the MP failed to turn up for the hearing. 

Last year, Mutambu was charged with assaulting Thomas Wahome of the  Helicopter Ministries on September 21, on Muchai drive, off Ngo'ng Road in Nairobi.

Mutambu denied the charges when he was arraigned in court and was released on Sh200,000 bond. 

The case will be mentioned on July 18.
