The bid has seen Kenya launch a brave diplomatic delegation led by President Uhuru, his deputy, and several government officials.

Uhuru has so far campaigned for Mohamed by seeking support from South Africa and Tanzania Presidents during their State visits in the country. He has also hosted several ambassadors of different countries to lobby on the same.

DP Ruto has also conducted an expansive shuttle diplomacy visiting 10 countries in the process in a bid to secure the seat.

As the elections for the position approach  more foreign visits  and travels are expected as confirmed by the government.

"You can expect to see more of the travel, as Kenya is robustly seeking an African consensus on the candidature of Ambassador Mohamed and that can only be achieved if the President reaches out to all the continent’s leaders, which is what he is doing,” State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu said.
