Kenya's CAF Confederation cup representative Bandari FC needs only a draw to sail to the knock out phase, and Sunday is reckoning for the Dockers to finish the job they began a fortnight ago.

They head into the game with 2-goal advantage, knowing that North Africa is an unfamiliar hunting ground for Kenyan teams.

Bandari's performance has improved since their 2016 poor debut in the continental outing.

On Sunday, Bandari will face US Ben Guerdane in a return leg match set to be played at a coastal town in South Eastern Tunisia.

Here are key areas Bandari needs to improve on in the match:

1. Restart and goal kicks

The goal keeper Michael Wanyika had poor quick restarts, more so the goal kick was given away through poor passes and throw ins as he kicked most goal kicks outside or to the opponent.

Wanyika needs to work on his final pass. He can also restart in the penalty area.

2. Isolated midfield

Bandari played most on the wings, no wonder the coach deployed a play maker formation of 1-4-2-1-3 compared to opponents fluid and attack minded tactical,1-4-2-3-1.

The coach's strategy calls for team work and prevails on a play maker such as Uganda's Wadri or Abdalla. This leaves the midfield isolated, whenever they lose the ball.

3. Man mark key Ben Guerdane players

Brazilian attacker Ricardo Pereirra, overlapping defender Ghazi Abderazek, Captain Sofiane Khelili and winger Sabri Ammeri should not be given time to breath and to run on the flanks. Captain is the key component at the back, hence piling more pressure upfront will contain him.

In addition, aerial balls can gift the Dockers a goal as Guerdane are poor in defending set pieces as they looked uneasy with lob balls.

Players also, need to communicate and avoid unnecessary runs as we saw Hassan Abdalla initiate much runs only to bump into defenders. They should possess the ball and look for the openings and bring in lethal crosses that keeps opponent nervous.

The good thing is that, both teams have a stage fright to overcome, and just as Guerdane fears a team with a ball in their penalty area; Bandari should be worried that home side will be waiting for them with all antics and fanatical flares.

Thus, Bandari need to stay alert and keep hold of the ball by stuffing the opponent, stick to the game plan, don't concede in first half, pile more pressure by possessing the ball and if you find opportunity, inflict the pain by scoring that vital away goal.
