Police in Mombasa have arrested three suspects with cocaine worth millions of shillings.
The three were seized Saturday morning in Nyali suburb.
According to police records, the three were identified as Athman, Bilali and Kagendo.
Kisauni police chief Christopher Rotich confirmed the arrests on Sunday and said they also sezed more than four vehicles belonging to the suspects.
“We are yet to establish the exact value but it is worth millions from the quantity,” he said as quoted by the Nation.
“The three were arrested at different places within Nyali. One is a foreigner and the other two are Kenyans,” he added.
Rotich further noted that the trio will be arraigned in court today Monday to face charges of drug trafficking.
The arrests come just weeks after anti-narcotics officers arrested two Nigerians with 1.5kg of heroin worth Sh4.5 million.
The two were also apprehended in Nyali, where police say has become a notorious spot for the contraband business.
