A Nakuru court on wednesday detained three men for allegedly trafficking 1.6 kilogrammes of bhang worth thousands of shillings.

The three, David Ogega, Curtis Mwaura and Caleb Kamau were charged with transporting the banned drug on August 8 to an unknown destination.

The trio were arrested at Shabab estate, Nakuru Town West constituency.

Senior Principal Magistrate Josephat Kalo in his ruling ordered that accused persons and the vehicle be detained at Central Police Station until investigation on the matter is closed.

The case will be mentioned on August 18 when the prosecution will give a report of the progress of the investigations.
