1. Drink it up!
I mean water. The less water you take, the worse your body performs. Our bodies are made up of 60% water. By the time you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated. Keep a bottle of water close to you, even when working or traveling and sip on some water throughout the day. January is hot so keeping hydrated will ensure that you are at your peak throughout the day.
2. Cut the sugar.
Are you always fatigued? It is probably because your sugar intake is above requirement. When you eat more sugar, you demand your body to produce more insulin, thus straining your pancreas in the process and wearing yourself out. Taking a first small step of avoiding soft drinks, processed juices, cakes, sweets and chocolates will go a long way in turning your health around.
3. Sweat it out.
Do you spend your day hunched over a computer, with a small one hour break in between? Stay nearly two hours in traffic? Are you too tired to do any meaningful exercise when you get home? Or to cook a well balanced meal and therefore resort to fast food? If you answered yes to most of these questions, then you are probably setting yourself up to some really bad lifestyle diseases.
Due to time factor, you might not be able to slot in a gym session into your already cramped up schedule. So, commit yourself to waking up 30 minutes before your usual time and slot in a 25 minute workout. Preferably cardio. You can get it on DVD or on the internet. Shwan T's T25 cardio would be a perfect fit for you. Incorporate it in your day and see the difference.
