The acquittal of Neno Evangelism Ministries Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a  in a fatal accident case that led to death of Mercy Njeri continues to cause public uproar.Ng’ang’a alongside two other people were charged in 2015 for reckless driving that led to the deceased death. However, a Limuru court acquitted the three against the charges on grounds that the prosecution failed to produce evidence linking them to the crime. As Kenyan’s continue to demand for Mercy Njeri’s family justice, here is a list of top preachers battling cases in court.1. Bishop Gilbert Deya He is a United Kingdom (UK) based preacher currently in police remand as his trial over alleged theft of five children continues.Deya was in 2017 charged with five counts of child stealing. He is said to have committed the offense in 2004 at High Rise estate in Nairobi.Deya’s bid to be released on bond or bail has often hit a snag as the prosecution argues that he is a flight risk and could escape if released.2. Pastor James Ng’ang’a He is the Neno Evangelism pastor and Bishop.Ng’ang’a is not new to controversy  and  there  are claims that he is an ex- convict and was allegedly once detained at the Shimo La Tewa Prison in Mombasa. The preacher has often been quoted saying that he is not afraid of jail and that prison is like his second home.Nga’ng’a was last week acquitted of reckless driving charges where a woman (Mercy Njeri) was killed in fatal accident in Limuru in 2015.The government has vowed to appeal the preacher’s acquittal.3. Bishop Margret Wanjiru She is the Bishop of the Jesus Is Alive Ministries that has its main branch located in Nairobi.
