Kenyans on social media are getting emotional about journalist Louis Otieno's story. Perhaps this is because he was in the limelight before everything came crashing down. What nobody should do is judge.

Louis' story, however, is not news. We've been treated to such stories for as long as we can remember. Why do we always seem to forget though? Because we never learn. Below are a few take-homes from Louis' story.

1. Money is easy on the eye

Anyone who's been rich at a point in their lives will tell you they never lacked friends. No rich man is ever alone. They may feel a little lonely sometimes, but almost never alone. However, take note. As money comes, so does it go.

Now, like I said earlier, no judging here. While you may ease your way to the top, be wary of what you leave behind. Be it relationships or simple things that can be replaced, be careful not to make mistakes that may hurt you in future, which leads to the next point -

This may not be Louis' case, and others, full of bile, might say some relationships are worth destroying but halt. Every human being deserves a chance. If you don't believe me, ask the woman whose child is accused of a crime. Even if she's seen him commit the crime, she'll defend him to hell and back.
