Deputy President William Ruto, just like any other national leader of his level, enjoys a loyal backing of close allies.

2. Aden Duale
The National Assembly Leader of Majority was very useful in the Jubilee August 8 and October 26 reelection campaigns, and is among the leaders pushing for Ruto's 2022 presidency.
Having made a name for himself as a result of his vocal nature, the Garissa Township MP is likely to become the next Garissa county Governor should he go for it.
3. Samson Cherargei
The first-time Nandi Senator has taken the political arena by storm as a result of his unending attacks on the opposition, regarding National Super Alliance (NASA) chief Raila Odinga's recent truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He has joined the list of the DP's loyalest allies, a character that could land him the Nandi Governor post in 2022 should he vie.
