Moi University is amongst the oldest learning institutions in the country. It offers a variety of courses among them Communications, Media and Public Relations.
Over years, the Kesses-based university has produced some of the finest journalists in the country.
Here are the three prominent media personalities that studied at Moi University;
Mohammed Ali

He is the current Nyali Member of Parliament.
He has done everything in the best way he does things. A resillient, hardworking and prayerful man who knows not to lose hope, I mean he has been threatened quite alot of times but he came out a victor. Mohammed Ali is popular for his Jicho Pevu programme that aired on KTN.
He joined Moi University as an undergraduate, taking a bachelor degree in communication and public relations from the year 2010-2014.
Mercy Kandie

She joined Moi University in the year 2007 and later on graduated in the year 2011 with a bachelor degree in communications and public relations. She started her career at the Kenya Television Network (KTN) as a reporter in the North Rift region.
Kandie is currently working as a reporter at Citizen TV.
Alex Chamwada
He is a godfather in the media industry, I mean he has mentored quite a number of upcoming journos who are doing explicitly well in this field. Alex Chamwada is a media consultant and the founder and Chief Executive Officer of CHAMS media limited, a TV production company that supply content to KTN.
Chamwada did his secondary education at St. Peters Mumias high school and was later admitted at Moi University main campus in the year 1992 as an undergraduate student undertaking a bachelor degree in information science, and graduated in the year 1996.
From the year 1997-1999, he joined the University of Nairobi for a postgraduate diploma in mass communication. He also did a masters degree in politics and mass media at the University of Liverpool as from 2004-2005.
