Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has come out to reveal some of his fears after skipping the January 30 'swearing-in' of NASA leader Raila Odinga at Uhuru Park Nairobi.
Earlier, NASA had stated that the move to skip the event was a political strategy, something a number of supporters have dismissed.
Kalonzo was expected to be sworn-in as the 'people's deputy president' alongside NASA alongside Odinga.
Since missing the event, Kalonzo has been labeled a traitor and a coward.
On his part, Kalonzo has stated that he ready to be sworn-in as long a number of things have been put in consideration.
Speaking on Wednesday, Kalonzo stated that he was afraid of being arrested and charged with treason, locked out of the 2022 race or have his passport canceled.
"They would have made it impossible for me to secure a bond, and even cancel my passport. They would have made sure I don’t vie in 2022,” Mr Musyoka said, betraying the cause of the “oath," said Kalonzo.
Kalonzo maintained that he ready to sworn-in as long as the right channels are followed.
“We need a serious analysis of the situation before I take the oath. I could have been put under a difficult condition," he said.
