A woman, her mother in-law and her daughter have been arrested following the mysterious death of a 14- year old boy in Ulaani, Machakos County.

The trio was arrested on Wednesday.

Confirming the incident, the Ulaani assistant chief, Thomas Kimuya stated that the standard 8 student was found dead in the forest on Wednesday.

"Police officers today found the body of a standard 8 student from Ulaani Primary School in a forest after the parents reported her missing a few days ago, "said Kimuya.

The assistant chief went on to add that the police had gone forward and arrested the three women who will assist in the investigations.

The body of the student is currently at the Kangundo Hospital Mortuary.
