National Land Commission boss Mohammed Swazuri has called for an audit of the controversial Ng’ati land in Maella Naivasha.

Speaking of Thursday at the piece of land, which has become a bloody-zone after members clashed, Swazuri said the probe of the controversy surrounding the property will start with ascertaining the actual size of the land.

“We want to know the acreage of this property as we probe what the problem is. We also ask those who have bought land here to record statements and help the probe,” Swazuri said.

Swazuri visited the area after it turned bloody due to violent clashes between members.

A section of the members have accused certain directors of fraudulently selling thousands of acreage of the land without knowledge of all members.

The violent clashes have led to a stalemate with even schools closing down.
