Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has hailed Nyambaria High school following a convincing performance in 2015 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results released by Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi earlier today.
The institution managed to beat all odds to vanquish education power houses Kisii School (10.0), Sironga Girls (9.7), Ichuni Girls (9.9) and Nyabururu Girls (9.7) after recording a historical mean grade of 10.18 to top in Kisii and Nyamira counties.
Speaking at the institution today, Bosire hailed the institution for putting the region in the national map and promised to construct a modern resource centre.
“I am very happy that this school has put us on the national map. You deserved it because of your hard work and I hope you will be consistent," said Bosire.
"I will elevate a learning resource center worth Sh12 million and fully equip it,” he added.
Bosire said the modern library will serve institutions from Kitutu Masaba and said it would be a ‘perfect’ place for benchmarking.
“It’s important that the library is built here so that our schools from Kitutu region can come and benchmark here. We want to see all school performing well in national exams,” he added.
The institution managed 17 A's, 69 A(minus), 91 B(plus), 57 B(plain), 36 B(minus) and 13 C(plus) and recorded a total entry of 283 candidates with 236 scoring the minimum entry for admission to public universities on a government sponsorship.
