During the 2007/2008 general elections, Kenya went into flames in what was termed as the worst tribal clash ever to happen in Kenya.
Because of politics of 'our man', Kenyans grouped themselves into tribes and chanted that they must select 'their own' to assend to power.
Tribalism is a menace that Kenya is still groupling with. Politicians were accussed of inciting their tribes to fight other tribes and the wages of their loose tongue resulted into death and displacement of persons.
Kenyans should sober up and realize that it is high time they shun politics of 'our man' and put the interest of the country first.
Tribal clashes do not only happen through physical fight but also through verbal exchanges.
Take a look at our social media. Kenyas are tongue lashing each other along tribal lines and it is sickening.
Unless we shun politics of 'mtu wa nyumba', tribal clashes will continue to drag us behind while we should be moving forward with peace, love and unity.
