Ukweli party leader Boniface Mwangi has attacked Jubilee candidate for the Kibra parliamentary by-election Mcdonald Mariga.
Through a video on his Twitter handle, Mwangi, a human rights activist blasted Mariga over lack of development for the people of Starehe constituency where he allegedly grew up.
''To reach the Kibra people. (Ifikie watu wa Kibra),'' Boniface Mwangi captioned his tweet.
The former Starehe MP aspirant who shot the video at Rum Stadium, where he said Mariga used to play as a youngster, noted that the former footballer didn't even bother developing the stadium.
‘’This is the place that Maragia grew up. There is no development he did. If Mariga you haven't done any project in your area, what will you do there? There is nothing you will do. (Hi ndio ground Mariga amelelewa hapa. Hakuna kazi amefanya. Kama Mariga hujafanya kazi yoyote mtaa yenu, utafanya nini uko? Hakuna kitu utafanya),’’ said Boniface Mwangi in part of the video.
The activist's party has also fronted Edita Ochieng' for the mini-poll scheduled for this Thursday.
Kibra campaigns close on Tuesday and pundits have said it will be a three-horse race among Mariga, ODM's Imran Okoth and Eliud Owalo (ANC).
IEBC cleared over 23 candidates to vie for the seat that fell vacant following the death of the then MP Ken Okoth who succumbed to cancer.
