FKF is moving to a new dispensation, changing from regional sub branch leadership to county leadership.

At  Gachuba, Nyamira elected first FKF county chairman after weeks of intensive campaigns, which saw two major realignments take shape.

Mr Luthers Mokua, an operating manager NIC Bank, was picked as first county chairman after scoring 15 votes of the possible 17.

Three voters were turned away after failing to adhere to the tough regulations of FKF.

The total number of voters in the county is 20.

"We we're ready for the victory and the voters have shown that in the ballot. We now change the story and put things right on track," Mokua told reporters.

His victory was hailed by dozens of leaders across Nyamira.

Majority Leader Duke Masira, in a statement, said the victory was a new dawn to soccer in the region

"As the assembly, we shall work with team change to shape soccer in the region. I have faith in the newly elected team," said the Township MCA.

Mr Mokua ran under "Change the story" theme.

Virtually, all members of his team scooped their desired seat apart from that of the treasurer.

Ms Harriet Ndege was elected Woman Representative while Vincent Nyasani took Secretary General post.

Immaculate Onkangi was elected treasurer.
