As he continues to remain silent on his succession plan, President Uhuru Kenyatta is no doubt going to be the main driver in the 2020 political debate.

His Jubilee Party is in turmoil with two rival factions emerging. As to whether the party will stand the test of time remains to be seen. But what is very certain is that the President is the man who has all the ability to restore order in the giant party.

As always, ODM leader Raila Odinga is the man of all seasons. For years, he has played a leading role in the country's messy politics. In 2020, there is no doubt that he will be the centre of attraction once again.

With handshake politics, the former Prime Minister will be the driving force of the Building Bridges Initiative report agenda.

As the Principal Assistant to the President, Deputy President William Ruto is at the centre of Kenyan politics.

Sadly, with in-fighting with Jubilee Party threatening his own presidential bid come 2022, it remains to be seen what the DP will do to save his political future.

Seen by many as the 'future President", Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi has of late been one of the most vocal politicians in the country. His latest dalliance with the President set tongues wagging. With this in mind, Mudavadi's political movements and decisions will be keenly watched in 2020.

Heavily linked with both President Kenyatta and DP Ruto, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is emerging as the new centre of political attraction. As to whether he will stick with Uhuru remains to be seen even as it is claimed that Dr. Ruto is eyeing this gentleman from Tseikuru.

So, there is no doubt that these men will shape Kenya's politics in 2020.
