The family of a four-year-old girl whose body was discovered at an Egerton farm after being raped and killed is now demanding for justice.
The discovery of her body on Monday came four days after the young girl was reported missing.
According to Bernard Rono, the father of the deceased girl, the body of her daughter was covered with grass when it was found. He further noted that her neck had strangulation marks.
“It had been covered with grass and her neck was found with marks of strangulation. We suspect the girl was abducted after arriving home from school last Thursday,” Rono told the press while at the Egerton University mortuary during the postmortem.
Rono called for in-depth investigations saying the perpetrators must be brought to book citing that some of the suspects who are yet to be apprehended are people known to him and live in the same village as he does.
Officers handling the probe into the matter who were also at Egerton declined to comment on the matter.
Her burial was scheduled for Wednesday.
