Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia on Saturday wed his wife Anne Kimemia in a traditional function held in Nyeri County.
The wedding was held at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA), and was attended by among others; former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta.
Other leaders present at the ceremony included; Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Nakuru's Lee Kinyanjui and Nderitu Mureithi of Laikipia county.
This comes only three months after Waiguru held a similar wedding in Kirinyaga County.
This year has been characterised by a number of weddings pitting prominent people or their kin, beginning with Waiguru's wedding to his lover city lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo.
In July, embattled Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu's daughter Dr Njeri Ndung'u tied the knot with Dr Nyotu Gitau, in an invite only function.
In January, Makena Murungi, daughter to Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi wedded her husband James Bukusi in another function that was attended by the political elite.
Attendees included President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
