Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has claimed that plans are in place to create a Prime Minister's slot for Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) boss Raila Odinga.
Speaking in his constituency on Sunday, Nyoro termed this the reason behind Raila's truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He further claimed that Raila's side is harbouring secret plans.
This comes amid Raila's calls for a referendum to among others, expand the executive, which enjoy the support of Uhuru.
Nyoro, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, further bashed the ODM leader and his team for allegedly engaging in smear politics against the Jubilee leadership with hidden intentions.
He, however, predicted doom for both plots.
“Our friends joined us with a hidden card to mudsling the work done by Jubilee government and they want to create a prime minister’s position for Raila Odinga and we shall not accept that, we know where the President and his deputy came from and we shall stick to their promises," said the MP as quoted by Daily Nation.
He made the remarks when he hosted the DP in the constituency accompanied by 10 other lawmakers.
On his side, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua took issue with those questioning politicians' contributions to churches, in an apparent shot at Raila.
The former Prime Minister has specifically questioned the source of the millions DP Ruto regularly gives to charity, considering that his contributions surpass his supposed income.
