The Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu will be expanded.
Governor Jack Ranguma said plans to give the hospital a facelift will begin soon.
He spoke when he received the French Ambassador to Kenya Antoine Sivan, Chairman of the Aga Khan Health Services, Kenya Mr Moyez Alibhai and CEO Aga Khan Kisumu Mr Syed Sohail in Kisumu on Thursday.
Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu is on of the most developed health facility in the Lakeside county.
"I wish to congratulate the Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu on this milestone and commend them for being one of the health facilities playing a leading role in healthcare provision not only in Kisumu County but the entire Western region," Ranguma said when he received the delegation.
He said his government will prioritize healthcare provision.
